🌲 Let’s Climb! My Outdoor Day Out at Skytrex Adventure Melaka

Being local thinking Melaka is all about food trails, Jonker Street, and historical sites, I have to re-think again. I decided to literally climb out of the usual itinerary and started looking adventure site which I haven't explored. (I studied in Melaka for one year during my pre-uni and mind you, I was expert then but that was 20+ year ago ahaks)

So I found Skytrex Adventure Melaka. Yes suitable for me and the kids!

⏰ 9:00 AM – Arriving at Skytrex Melaka

Located in Taman Botani Melaka, the vibe already felt like a mini rainforest escape. Surrounded by tall trees, chirping birds, and the smell of adventure (okay, maybe that was just my sunscreen and nervous sweat), the Skytrex check-in hut is where the thrill begins.

🚗 Travel Tip: It’s about a 20–30 min drive from Melaka town. Accessible by Grab, or better yet — rent a car (klook) for a more flexible trip.

🎟 Booking & Packages

There are 3 different circuits:

1. Little Dino (Beginner)

2. Pahlawan Thrill (Intermediate) - Pahlawan in Malay or Hero in English

3. Extreme Warrior (Advanced)

Being the overconfident (read: semi-fit) person I am, I went with Pahlawan Thrill — because why just walk when you can fly between trees on a zipline, right?

👉 Book online early: You’ll get a slot + it's cheaper! I booked mine through [Klook] and it was smooth and instant.

🧗‍♀️ 10:00 AM – Gear Up & Safety Briefing

✅ Safety checklist? Check. Gloves? Check. Nerves? Slightly trembling

After harnessing up like a pro (with a little help because those straps are confusing!), we went through the safety briefing. The instructors were friendly and explained everything in Malay - Available in English too

😱 10:30 AM – The Adventure Begins!

The first few obstacles felt easy; balancing on wobbly planks, climbing a mini ladder. But then came the Flying Fox (Zipline).

Wheeeeeeeeee—

That moment when the wind hits your face, you're flying over trees, and you scream like a kid on roller skates — that's when you know you're living your best life.

🔥 Fun Fact: The zipline is over 100m long. That’s about 1.5x the length of a football field!

📸 12:00 PM – Photos, Bruises, and Bragging Rights

After about 1.5 hours of non-stop climbing, crawling, and adrenaline, we made it to the end. I was sweaty, slightly bruised, and absolutely proud. Ohhh myyyy....my hands were aching badly. Please please get yourself warming-up especially on the arms to avoid this aching like mine.

Don’t forget to take a “Mission Accomplished” photo at the end — there’s a spot with a nice wooden Skytrex logo backdrop. Instant Instagram flex.

🍛 1:00 PM – Time for Lunch!

We were starving by the time we finished all the trails. We headed to Bukit Beruang (about 20minutes drive) for our lunch. Don't worry guys, Melaka is a popular place for foooodieees; just choose local style or non-local style :P
